Once upon a time............
The STA Winston Churchill races the Russian Kruzenshtern at the start of the Falmouth Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race 1998.
Morgenster and Shababab Oman II set sail at the start of the Esbjerg Tall Ships Race 2022, while passing a Danish wind farm.
Both using natural power
I have been taking pictures of sailing since this one in 1964, 58 years ago.
These Navy French tops'le schooners still compete in Tall Ships Races.

The RDV Tall Ships Race 2017 from Bermuda coincided with the Americas Cup races and the J Class regatta.

The race was postponed to no wind next day.
Most Tall Ships Races start in light or no wind, in my experience.

No shortage of wind in the Baltic.
BELEM was crewed by a team of
female trainees known as Gazelles.
Exhilarating Atlantic swells swept them towards the Canaries
in the RDV 2017 TS Race.

No, 'afraid not, but Golden Horizon did sail from Poole and ports all along the south coast of England.
I spent the summer 2021 pursuing
Golden Horizon.
